Phoebe Ka Laam Ng
Phoebe Ka Laam Ng, coming from Hong Kong, graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2020 with a B.A. degree with first-class honours. Double-majoring in European Studies and Korean Studies as well as minoring in Fine Arts, she has developed a strong research interest in post-war Germany, modern Korea, art exhibitions, East Asian and Buddhist art. In her thesis for European Studies, she focused on the Third Reich's artistic approach in terms of identity politics. Meanwhile, in her graduation project for Korean Studies, she curated a virtual exhibition about celadon art from ancient to contemporary Korea. Having one year spent in Freiburg as an exchange student and a few months studying and volunteering in Seoul, South Korea during her undergraduate years, Phoebe is skilled in German and fluent in Korean. Through her master studies at Freie and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, she aims to develop a more profound knowledge of global issues and history and get herself well prepared for a PhD programme in the future.
